    Deff one of my favorite bbq joints in Philly! The food is always tasty and never disappoints. The portions are filling. There are so many sides & smoked meats to choose from! They now have a full service area which I've never sat in before but I don't mind ordering at the register and having the food brought out once it's ready. I believe they prioritize their eat in orders over take out so I'd suggest calling ahead for takeout or dinning in. Over the last few years the restaurant has had a few facelifts and they expanded their dinning area.

    Not too many BBQ places in my area other than Mission BBQ. I don't travel to Philly for food often, but this place was recommend to me so I gave it a try. My boyfriend and I ordered a bunch of stuff to share since it was our first time there. We ordered Ribs, Sliced Beef Brisket, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Creamy Cheesy Spinach, Spicy Collard Greens, Cajun eggs, and Homemade Cornbread. Everything was amazing. I would say a solid 8.5/10. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the cornbread. It's a little more sweet than what I'm used to. The inside is huge, lots of seating. I think they may have renovated recently because the decor was beautiful. (And the bathrooms were soo clean and pretty !!!!) I would say the only odd thing about this place is the seating. If you sit in a certain area, you have to order food yourself, which I do prefer, but the seating areas aren't specified so it's a bit confusing. Can't wait to try this place again!

    1st time here and was not disappointed!! Young lady at the counter was super friendly. I ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Platter, which comes with 2 sides and a choice of cornbread or roll. I chose cornbread. My daughter ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich Platter that came with 2 sides. My sides were coleslaw and Mac & cheese. She chose Mac & cheese and mashed sweet potatoes. I have NC roots and picky about pulled pork...Sweet Lucy did not disappoint!!! The pork was seasoned perfectly and went very well with the coleslaw. Mac & cheese was a little juicy, but it was good. Mashed sweet potatoes...my, my, my!!! All that was missing was a brown sugar crumble topping. The cornbread had actual corn kernels in it! There was a bar in there but I didn't indulge. I went with the sweet tea. All sodas are self serve, as well as the condiments. It's also self seating. I finished my meal with the apple crisp. Definitely enough for 2 people, simply delicious! Sweet Lucy's has Mission BBQ beat by a long shot!!!

    Omg what can I say! SL's SH definitely gets a 10/10 in my book! This was the first time for me eating at this restaurant. I was really looking for some good bbq on my side of town and a friend recommended it. The Cashier Madison was very helpful as I explained to her it was my first time visiting and I didn't know how the ordering or seating worked. You can order at the front and get a table number to place at your table. Then the wait staff will bring our your food to your table. Drinks are self serve from the fountain machine. The theme inside is like wooden barn decor. Bench booths and tables. The music was nice too. Think Country. All the food we got were ribs, bbq pulled chicken, bbq keibasa, sliced beef brisket, cheesy spinach, Mac & cheese, tangy cucumber tomato salad, greens and corn bread! Omg the corn bread was amazing! So moist and with a touch of sweetness. Served with butter on the side. The food was so good I had to order more to take home. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and definitely will be returning again. Thanks to everyone at SL's SH!
